How it works
- Get in touch. Call James on 087 132 2497 for the fastest reply, ring the office on 052 617 9801 (Mon–Thu), or email james@propertymarking.ie. Let us know what you need marked and roughly how many items.
- We confirm. We will be in touch within 2 working days to confirm a date and quote.
- We come to you. The team arrives, sets up the dot-peen machine and marks each item with your Eircode. An Garda Síochána recommends 2–3 markings per item (one overt, one or two covert).
- You are linked to PULSE. Your items are now traceable through An Garda Síochána’s PULSE system. If anything is stolen and recovered, it comes back to you.
Why mark
- Property theft costs Ireland an estimated €1.4 billion every year.
- Only 4% of stolen property is ever recovered without marking.
- Marked property is significantly less attractive to thieves — and much easier to return to its rightful owner.
- PMI is named in the Rural Safety Plan 2025–2027 as the owner of two property crime prevention actions for the Department of Justice.
